The proper adhesive and other prep and primer materials to use, plus the length of time required before the vehicle can be safely driven depend on the vehicle, temperature, humidity, and other weather conditions. If you skip any preparation steps, the strength of the installation is greatly reduced and structural integrity of the vehicle may be compromised.

The approximate drive away time varies by season and temperature.

In summer the urethane adhesive cures in about 3-7 hours for a vehicle without a passenger side airbag. It may require 4-12 hours with a passenger side airbag

 In winter it may require up to 24 hours and may need to be kept in a heated shop overnight in order to cure properly.
